Cookie Policy
BioChain USA
Effective date: 2026-05-28
Last updated: 2026-05-28
This Cookie Policy explains how biochainusa.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language, items in your cart, or whether you have accepted the age gate. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and SDKs.
2. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies by purpose. The exact cookies in use at any time are listed in our consent banner.
2.1 Strictly necessary
Required for core Site functionality. They cannot be disabled without breaking the Site. Examples:
- Session and authentication cookies (keeping you logged in).
- Cart cookies (remembering items in your cart).
- Age-gate and acknowledgement cookies (remembering you have passed the age gate or accepted policies in this session).
- Security cookies (preventing fraud, CSRF protection).
2.2 Functional
Remember preferences that improve your experience. Examples:
- Display preferences.
- Region or currency preferences.
2.3 Analytics
Help us understand how the Site is used and how to improve it. Examples:
- Page-view counts.
- Aggregated user-journey data.
- Crash and performance metrics.
We use privacy-respecting analytics where available. Analytics cookies are off until you accept them in the consent banner, except as required by state law for strictly aggregated, non-personal measurement.
2.4 Advertising
We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party advertising pixels. If we add them in the future, the consent banner will identify the specific cookie and provider before any data is shared, and we will not enable them without your consent.
3. Your choices
3.1 Consent banner
When you first visit the Site (or after clearing your cookies), a banner asks for your cookie preferences. You can:
- Accept all — allow all categories above.
- Reject non-essential — keep strictly necessary cookies, block functional, analytics, and advertising.
- Customize — choose by category.
You can change your choices at any time via the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer.
3.2 Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Doing so may prevent parts of the Site from working (in particular, cart and checkout).
3.3 Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If your browser sends GPC, we treat that as your opt-out signal automatically.
4. Third parties
Where third parties set cookies through our Site (for example, our analytics provider or payment processor on the checkout page), those third parties have their own privacy policies. Our consent banner identifies each third party in use; the Your Privacy Choices link lets you opt out where the law permits.
5. Do Not Track
Most browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry standard for responding. We rely on the Global Privacy Control signal (Section 3.3) for opt-out purposes; we do not separately respond to “Do Not Track.”
6. Updates
We update this Policy when our cookie practices change. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
